Planning an Event in Israel?

Bite Aware provides practical food allergy guidance and support for families planning weddings, Bar or Bat Mitzvahs, and other celebrations in Israel.

Planning an event can be complicated when someone in your family has a food allergy. When you are organizing it from abroad, there may be additional challenges - unfamiliar venues and caterers, different ways of working, a language barrier, and much of the planning taking place remotely.

How Bite Aware Can Help

Bite Aware can provide local support in Israel and help you navigate the food allergy aspects of your event.

Venue & Caterer Review

Understanding how the venue or caterer approaches food allergies.

The Right Questions

Helping you know what to ask before making decisions.

Menu & Allergen Information

Reviewing relevant menu and allergen information.

Clear Communication

Helping you communicate your needs clearly with the people involved in planning and preparing the food.

The goal is not to promise a risk-free event, but to help you identify issues in advance, make informed decisions, and plan with greater confidence.

About Me

Personal Experience

My name is Shlomit Reder. I am the mother of a 25-year-old son with severe peanut and tree-nut allergies, and I have been involved in the field of food allergies for many years.

Advocacy & Experience

I founded Yahel, the Israeli Food Allergy Association, together with other parents, and served for many years as its chair and later as a board member.

Professional Knowledge

In recent years, I have focused increasingly on allergen management in food service and on learning from models used in other countries. I have completed professional training in food allergy management and food safety, including FARECheck® training, and I continue to expand my professional knowledge in this field.

Today, through Bite Aware, I bring together personal experience, years of public involvement and professional knowledge to provide practical support for families navigating food allergies.
